KOMPIRA SAMA The yawl KOMPIRA SAMA was designed by Alberg and Brengle of Boston USA and built by Abeking and Rasmussen of mahogany on oak frames and teak deck. Since 1955 when she was launched, she has been continuously looked after and upgraded by permanent professional crew. Winner of several cups In transatlantic regattas, this ocean racer is originally built with below deck comfort and luxury rarely found on yachts of her class and style. The semi protected cockpit offers unique shelter, while the very easy access below decks is another special feature of this yacht. Upon request, the saloon conveniently converts into a third cabin, also with en facilities. To achieve this, a carefully crafted wooden partition that includes a door is placed along the centre line of the yacht that blocks off the port section of the saloon and creates the third cabin. This cabin suitably accommodates two guests in either two upper/lower bunk beds or the lower bed optionally converts into a comfortable double bed.
