Vieques and Culebra are the two largest islands of the group known as the Spanish Virgin Islands, that lay between St. Thomas and the East coast of Puerto Rico. The islands are Spanish speaking, sparsely populated, and have some of the most beautiful unspoiled beaches in the Caribbean. Amenities are few, marinas zero,  but for those looking for solitude, excellent sailing, fishing and snorkeling, they are wonderful.

Travelers' Choice

ISLA DE VIEQUES in the Spanish Virgin Islands was recently ranked by Trip Advisor as one of the  Top Ten Caribbean Islands.  With pristine beaches, phenomenal snorkeling, electric blue waters and wild horses, WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE?

Vieques sports the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world. Bioluminescence describes half-plant, half-animal organisms which emit a flash of bluish light when agitated at night. The high concentration of these creatures produce an incredible blue light not to be missed. To see fish swimming away from the dinghy like white zigzagging torpedoes or a surprised ray producing in a white explosion is a surreal experience!
