BABY TURTLE IN ANEGADA VIRGIN ISLANDS
Ralph and Celeste, owners of yacht SILENT PARTNER II, enjoy exploring the best snorkeling spots in the British Virgin Islands.
Loblolly Bay on Anegada is known for uncrowded and pristine white sand beaches. Here, charter guests were surprised when they observed a baby turtle coming out of the sand … He was the only turtle on the beach!
When baby turtles hatch they can take up to two days to dig their way up to the top of the nest. If the sand is warm they normally stop because this indicates it is daytime. They stop digging and wait until it cools down which is a sign it is night and safer to escape to the ocean.
Was he early or late? They were not sure but since the little fellow was all alone they felt he could use some help! After taking pictures they released him to the sea and watched as he started out on a long journey.
The all-inclusive rate for a private charter with Ralph and Celeste is currently $7,100.00 … For more information, visit SILENT PARTNER II.
